I just watched this film for the 5th or 6th time and did so in an RV in the woods along the Oregon Coast (we were vacationing). It amazes me how I catch subtle layers unfolding each time I view it again. Plus it was neat to view it in such a random locale.

I really noticed how uncomfortable the guests were during the birthday party and it looks like Mother has a cat turd on her shoe as she is hobbling down the stairs!

I died with laughter when I heard her talking about the "Sloths" upstairs with the raccoons and other creatures; her pronunciation of sloths is hysterical!

This material is so original that a writer couldn't even dream this dialog and these characters up.

Grey Gardens continues to have a special place in my heart…
