Inevitably, those of my friends with good taste loved this film (or were at least fascinated), and the ones with poor or no taste either didn't like it or found it boring, a sentiment upon the disclosure of which I immediately oust them from my house. Not really, but secretly, in my heart of hearts, my love for them dies a little. So this film's a pretty good determinant of whether someone's sensibilities has a chance of meshing with mine. Kinda like this quote from a John Waters movie about the world being divided into "my kind of people...and assholes." Except less severe.
